Congratulations are in order for former Destiny’s Child member LaTavia Roberson who is expecting her first child. Not only that, but her bundle of joy is reportedly due on Beyoncé’s birthday!
LaTavia has also recently signed a production deal with Carlos King, the man behind RHOA for a reality show.
According to the press release, LaTavia’s child’s father is a “well known Atlanta producer.” Roberson formerly dated Jagged Edge member Brandon Casey, but they split several years ago.
“I’m excited to work with LaTavia to effectively tell her story on television,” King — who also produced Real Housewives of Atlanta, Oprah’s Season 25 Behind the Scenes and Real Housewives of New Jersey — said. “This is her first time speaking out about her past. This woman has endured more than the public even realizes, and once they hear half of it, they will be in awe. She is a true survivor!”
The press release states that the show will document “Latavia’s pregnancy, the ups and downs of her relationship with her child’s father and her past battles with molestation, alcoholism and jail time.” It also teases that Roberson will be returning to the studio to work on solo material and is still working on a tell-all memoir due later this year.
