HBO officially unveiled the first photo of Kerry Washington as Anita Hill on the set of Confirmation Tuesday morning.
In 1991, Anita Hill famously accused Clarence Thomas of sexual harassment, and Confirmation will center on the explosive allegations and subsequent Thomas-Hill Supreme Court nomination hearings.

In other Confirmation news, Kimberly Elise and Jennifer Hudson have joined the cast.
Kimberly will play Sonia Jarvis, Anita’s college roommate and a D.C. lawyer, while Jennifer will play Angela Wright, a witness who made a statement in support of Anita but never testified during the nomination hearings.
Judy Smith, who inspired the role of Olivia Pope on Scandal, will be played by Kristen Ariza.
Oscar-nominated screenwriter Susannah Grant penned the script.
