First Look: Jaden Smith Sports Afro Wig While Filming New Netflix Series ‘The Get Down’ in New York [Photos]

Jaden Smith was spotted on set of his new Netflix series The Get Down Monday afternoon.

The 16-year-old donned an afro wig and 1970s garb as filming got underway in Manhattan, New York.

As previously reported, The Get Down centers on an untidy group of South Bronx teenagers who turn to music and each other to survive their laundry list of struggles, and Jaden will star as Marcus “Dizzee” Kipling, a talented and enigmatic graffiti writer.

All 13 episodes of The Get Down will be released in 2016.
