People’s ‘Sexiest Man Alive’, Idris Elba will make his SNL hosting debut on Saturday March 9th, with Khalid (also a SNL newcomer) as the musical guest. Elba will promote his upcoming Netflix comedy series, Turn Up Charlie which premieres March 15th.
Saturday Night Live revealed on Twitter the host and musical guest for the first two weeks in March. Comedian and former SNL writer John Mulaney will return to host March 2nd with musical guest, country singer Thomas Rhett.
Lucky for us, the Luther star has a busy year ahead, as the villain, Brixton in the Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw coming to theaters in August, and he’ll also be performing at Coachella in April.
This week Elba teased the music video for Boasty will be coming soon, the Wiley single features Sean Paul, Stefflon Don and Elba.

There have been rumors that The Wire actor is slated to be the next James Bond 007, not sure if it will happen, but one things for sure whatever Mr. Elba is serving we are here for it, shaken, not stirred.
