Empire fans, rejoice; we’ll be receiving a lot more of Becky and Porsha during Empire‘s second season.
According to TVLine, Academy Award-nominated actress Gabourey Sidibe and newcomer Ta’Rhonda Jones have been promoted to series regulars on the FOX hit show.
Gabourey portrays Lucious’ assistant Becky, while Ta’Rhonda serves as Cookie’s hilarious second-in-command.
The news of Gabourey and Ta’Rhonda’s promotions somewhat come as no surprise; just last month Empire‘s producer Ilene Chaiken discussed their second season likelihoods: “We love them both, and we want them both back as ongoing characters on the show.”
