As we get closer to the onslaught of commercials during this Sunday’s Super Bowl, a little controversy is to be expected.
There’s a new ad for Apartments.com that features Jeff Goldblum and a gospel choir singing ‘The Jeffersons’ theme “Moving On Up.” In the ad, you see George Washington and Lil Wayne hanging out on the rooftop where Wayne is grilling.
Because of George Washington’s slave-owning history, some are saying the ad having Wayne ‘cooking for’ the dead president has major racial undertones.
