Classic TV Show ‘Good Times’ To Be Remade For The Big Screen

GOOD TIMES

Another Hollywood revamp is in the works, and this one will see a classic 70’s sitcom moving from the small screen to the silver screen. Sony Pictures has announced they will remake the classic television show Good Times into a movie. Producer Scott Rubin and writer Phil Johnson are on board to helm the project.

Good Times was a show ahead of its time when it first aired on the CBS network in 1974. It centered on working class Chicago couple James and Florida Evans, their three children, and both the bad and good times they shared as a family. The show went off-air in 1979.

I am excited for the movie version and to see who gets cast! Can I just put in my formal request now that a cameo role, or better yet, a supporting or principal role be written into the script specifically for Ms. Janet Jackson? That would be the icing on this DYN-O-MITE cake!

What do you think? Will you be in line to catch Good Times on the big screen?
