Chris Brown stopped by The Today Show to do some promo for his upcoming album X (which still doesn’t have a release date).

In between performances, Breezy was being interviewed by Matt Lauer and Tamron Hall…but Chris wasn’t really in the mood to answer questions. He tried his best to keep the conversation strictly about music and his fans.

On recovering from his seizure:
Chris: “I’m good, I’m good, just needed the rest, that’s it.”

When asked about his most recent Twitter rants:
Chris: “Uh, that’s not my music.”
Matt “What? That’s not the music. You’re struggling with two different worlds?”
Chris: “The only thing I’m worried about is this X album and the fans.”

When asked if he was leaving the music industry:
“It’s about the music right now. I’ll continue to work for my fans.”

On what motivates him:
“Just my God-given talent. And my fans. You know, all the fans make me who I am…so all the music is for them.”

On if he’s really retiring
“No, I’m just putting out the music right now.  I’m going to continue to work for my fans.”

He also managed to include a quick shout out to the Bloods right before he hit the stage. Kudos to Chris for trying to keep the show going to the best of his ability, despite being obviously annoyed.  Check out his performances of “Love More” “Beat It” and “Fine China.”
