Chris Brown is having a hard time being away from his son while the travel ban is still in place and he took to social media over the weekend addressing the issue.
Posting a side-by-side of his four-month-old son, Aeko, with Ammika Harris and a snap of Chris Brown when he was a baby, the singer declared he was “MISSING MY MINI ME” on Sunday. In the adorable photos, it is hard to distinguish who is who in the picture because the father/son duo look exactly alike.
He also shared a sweet video of Aeko smiling and laughing while spending time with his mama. Within hours, Chris Brown’s post collected nearly 650k likes. However, the singer did switch off the comments.
The Grammy winner has been separated from his son and baby mama since Donald Trump put the U.S. travel ban in place. Chris Brown lives in Los Angeles and Ammika Harris is overseas in Germany, but that doesn’t mean he’s not able to get some face time with Aeko. According to Hollywood Life, the “No Guidance” singer has been reportedly FaceTiming Ammika Harris in order to see his son.
The distance is proving hard on Chris Brown, as shown in his recent post about his son. “This is not easy on Chris because right now he doesn’t know exactly when he’s going to be able to see his son again,” a source told the outlet.
“First there was the US travel ban and now the EU has fully closed their borders so he can’t go there and visit for at least a month. It’s rough,” they added. Despite the distance, the singer and Ammika Harris are remaining positive.
When the singer wants to see his precious baby boy during the travel ban, he uses technology of course! “He facetimes with Ammika and he gets to see Aeko that way. And she sends him videos and pictures all day,” Hollywood Life’s source said.
“It’s not the same as getting to hold [Aeko]” they continued, adding that Chris Brown “misses his son.” Besides Aeko, Chris Brown is also dad to 5-year-old daughter Royalty Brown, who he shares with Nia Guzman.
