Chloe X Halle have officially joined the lineup of this year’s Super Bowl performers.
The rising stars will sing “America the Beautiful” ahead of the big game. on Feb. 3 in Atlanta.
Chole X Halle will now join a list of famous artists who have performed America The Beautiful at the Super Bowl — including Vicki Carr, Ray Charles, Mary J. Blige, Marc Anthony, Alicia Keys, Faith Hill, Queen Latifah, Lea Michele, Jennifer Hudson and Leslie Odom, Jr.
Earlier this week it was announced seven-time Grammy award-winner Gladys Knight will perform the national anthem.
With all of the controversy surrounding those who perform at the Super Bowl despite Colin Kaepernick’s protest, we can’t help but wonder if the girls had a conversation with label boss Beyoncé and/or Jay-Z before deciding to accept this particular gig.
Will these ladies face the same criticism as Travis Scott, Big Boi and Gladys Knight?
