Chloe Bailey Get Emotional on IG Live After Being Attacked on Social Media [Video]

Can’t we have even one nice moment? On Sunday, Chloe took to Instagram Live to address, through tears, her reaction to hostile comments about her recent posts, specifically about showing her body.

Earlier this week, the singers of Chloe x Halle decided to make separate Instagram accounts and finally explore having their own identities on social media for a change instead of being linked as a duo 24/7. This resulted in both recording artists posting different pics and videos on their respective accounts, as they expressed who they each were as individuals.

Unfortunately, Chloe has been receiving a lot of backlash by people condemning her for being “too sexy” and “turning into a sexual object” because of certain things that she’s posted. After catching wind of these hurtful comments, she decided to speak about them on Instagram Live on Sunday (Jan. 31). The star was so saddened by these negative reactions to her posts that she was even seen crying on her stream.

“For every woman out there, don’t change who you are to make society feel comfortable. And I’m telling myself that’s not what I’m going to do, even when I posted the video yesterday, I posted it because I was saging and doing Palo Santa and I was like, ‘Let’s spread positive vibes,’” she said.

“I didn’t even really notice you guys were talking about my ass because I was like, ‘OK, I’m just walking in from one seconds, two seconds…’ And I feel like I’ve shown my ass more than I have with that like if you look at our performance videos, the last performance we had in December. Like, I was just so excited and on stage, and just being myself, so… I don’t know.”

Chloe went on, “I just felt it was important to address it, so you guys get to kind of know who I am inside. And it’s really hard for me to think of myself as sexual being or an attractive being quite frankly. So, when I see all the uproar about my posts and stuff, I’m a bit confused. Like, I really don’t understand because I’ve never seen myself in that way.”

Imagine being a weirdo on the internet acting a young girl for being young and enjoying herself like everyone else on Instagram. People need to do better.
