Pilot season is in full swing, and CBS is looking to diversify its lineup.
Veteran comic Cedric the Entertainer is set to star in the CBS comedy pilot Tony Take the Wheel. He also co-created the series.
Tony Take the Wheel focuses on two brothers whose relationship is tested after Cedric’s character hires his nephew to work at his car shop.
As The Hollywood Reporter pointed out, should Tony Take the Wheel move forward at CBS, it will mark Cedric’s first series regular role on one of the Big Four (ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC) in more than a decade.
