Rap icon Busta Rhymes has completely transformed his body with a dramatic weight-loss, dropping a whopping 86 pounds.

The 48-year-old will discuss what the journey has been like to get his health on track in Monday’s episode of Tamron Hall.

In an exclusive sneak preview of his candid chat provided to DailyMailTV, Busta recalls the emotional moment of being forced to tape down his stomach for a music video, calling it ‘one of the most difficult reality checks’.

Busta appeared remotely in the segment via skype, looking svelte in a black T-shirt with a thick gold chain.

Speak to Tamron, who was in her New York City studio, the I Know What You Want rapper opened up about the moment he realized he had gotten really out of shape.

Tamron had asked the Conglomerate star about a humbling moment he experienced while filming the music video for his song Czar which dropped in October.

‘Confession,’ he told the host. ‘When I shot that video, there is a scene of me wearing all white with a headwrap. When I initially put that all white on, it showed how badly out of shape that I was on camera.’

‘So, we went in the dressing room and they duct taped my stomach down with electric duct tape,’ Busta Rhymes revealed. ‘It was difficult, it was probably one of the most difficult reality checks in my life.’

It seems that the music legend took his reality check to heart and immediately began to re-work his life around healthy eating and working out.

Around the same time the music video for Czar premiered, Busta (born Trevor George Smith Jr) revealed on social media that he had already dropped a considerable amount of weight.

He shared a before and after comparison on Instagram and explained he was motivated to trim down because he wanted to be in ‘best shape of’ his life before releasing his latest album.

In the snap, the musician proudly lifted his red t-shirt at the gym to showcase his newly chiseled torso and gym-honed physique to his 2.8 million followers.

‘LIFE BEGINS RIGHT NOW!!! MY DEDICATION IS DIFFERENT!!’ he captioned the snap of his gym-honed body.

Adding: ‘I WOULD NEVER PUT OUT AN ALBUM AND NOT BE IN THE BEST SHAPE OF MY LIFE!! I RESPECT MYSELF TOO MUCH AND I RESPECT Y’ALL TOO MUCH!!!’

The Touch It hitmaker also expressed hoping his results ‘inspire’ others, while hitting nearly 300,000 likes in 12 hours.

During his discussion with Hall, Rhymes also revealed how he dealt with the reactions of his family to his weight gain and what they think now that he feels better than ever.

The full interview with Busta Rhymes and Tamron Hall will air on Monday January 11th.

Health is wealth, proud of Busta for putting in the work and making a change.
