Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller is reportedly under a criminal investigation in Colorado.

Miller, 31, has not been charged and the nature of the investigation has not been released.

“The case is currently under investigation, and no information can be released at this time,” the Parker Police Department said in a statement to PEOPLE. “If the investigation determines a crime has occurred, charges will be submitted to the DA’s Office for their review.”

Parker police did not have a timeframe on the investigation when asked by PEOPLE.

The Broncos issued a statement on Friday saying they are “aware” of the investigation and are “in the process of gathering more information,” ESPN reported.

The Broncos and reps for Miller did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment Friday.

In 2013, Miller was suspended for six games after violating the league’s substance abuse policy, ESPN reported. That same year, an arrest warrant was issued when he failed to appear in court for traffic violations.

After his suspension that year, Miller said he was “working hard to gain trust back.”

The athlete missed the 2020 season due to an ankle injury and is currently on the final year of his six-year contract with the Broncos.

You may remember Von made news earlier this month when his ex released some disgusting messages he allegedly sent. Maybe nothing will come up in the investigation.
