Just one week after the Brown and Houston families publicly disagreed over Bobbi Kristina’s medical condition, NBC’s affiliate 11Alive reported that Bobby Brown has filed for guardianship over his daughter’s estate.
According to 11Alive, Cissy Houston is unhappy with this development. Her attorney David W. Long released the following statement:
This is a family matter involving sensitive information. We hope to resolve this in a manner that is respectful of Bobbi Kristina’s sensitive health information. The Houston family has always looked out for the best interest of Bobbi Kristina Brown. The family has done so all of her life and will continue to do so. We trust that others have the same objective.
For those of you unaware of the responsibilities of a conservator, he or she typically exercises control over the owner’s property and acts as owner by making decisions about the property.
