It’s a beautiful week for Black women in music!
Beyoncé & Rihanna, arguably the two biggest pop stars in the world, are both perched at the top of the Billboard charts this week.
Beyoncé’s visual album landed her atop the Billboard 200 chart with a record-breaking 617,000 copies sold in just three days. This is Beyoncé’s 5th consecutive album to debut at #1.
Rihanna, as featured on Eminem’s smash “The Monster” scored her 13th No. 1 single. She’s now tied with Michael Jackson for the third-most #1s in Hot 100 history — surpassing Madonna and the Supremes whom each have 12.
Two black women making history — we love it!
