Beyoncé's 'Lemonade' Visual Album Earns 4 Emmy Nominations

Beyoncé’s hour-long visual album Lemonade is up for four Emmy awards. Because it aired on HBO, the visual is up for Outstanding Variety Special, Outstanding Production Design for a Variety, Nonfiction, Event or Award Special, and Outstanding Picture Editing for Variety Programming.

What’s special about that fourth nomination is that Beyoncé herself is nominated alongside director Kahlil Joseph for Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special.

It’ll probably be a while before Bey takes home that Oscar (no shade), so to see her walk away with an Emmy would be great. Let’s hope she wins!
