Avengers: Infinity War has been out for just 11 days and has already crossed the billion-dollar mark.

It is now the fastest film in history to do so, knocking Star Wars: The Force Awakens down second place (it reached $1 billion in 12 days).

With Infinity War’s new feat, it is also Marvel’s sixth film to make a billion dollars after The Avengers, Iron Man 3, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, and most recently, Black Panther. And that’s all without tapping into the Chinese box office, which CNN describes as the “second biggest movie market in the world.” Infinity Warwill debut in the country on May 11.

In the meantime, it got a major boost from Russia since its release there on Thursday. It opened with $4.9 million which is the highest debut of all time in Russia. It’s faring well in other countries as well including in the U.K. with $53.7 million, Korea ($53.1M), Mexico ($39.9M), Brazil ($33.5M) and India ($30.1M), according to Deadline.

Infinity War, which was dubbed “the most ambitious crossover event in history,” has been ten years in the making since 2008’s Iron Man. In the past decade, Marvel Studios has been building up to the superheroes coming face-to-face with the Mad Titan, Thanos. But Infinity War is only the beginning of the story as the untitled Avengers 4 film is set to follow-up on the storyline next year.
