A huge congratulations is in order for the cast and crew of the FX freshman comedy series Atlanta.
The critically acclaimed comedy took home the award for Best Comedy Series at tonight’s Golden Globe Awards.
The breakout hit, which already scored a season two renewal back in September, beat black-ish, Mozart in the Jungle, Transparent and Veep for the honor.
Donald Glover, the creator and star of Atlanta, thanked the city of Atlanta during his acceptance speech: “I want to thank Atlanta and all the black folks in Atlanta just for being alive and doing amazing and being amazing people. I couldn’t be here without Atlanta.”
Once again, congratulations to the cast and crew of Atlanta.
