I need to give it a few more listens. I’m not quite sure how I feel yet. What do you think?
Update: After giving a few spins, my initial opinion didin’t change much. I like the lyrical content and the hook is catchy, but overall the song sounds really empty. It will be interesting to see how it performs commercially.
Alicia will be performing “Girl on Fire” at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards airing this Thursday at 8pm EST.
