Alfre Woodard Joins the Cast of ‘The Lion King’ As Simba’s Mom, Sarabi

Alfre Woodard is taking her talents to the Pride Land.

The actress has officially signed on to join Jon Favreau’s The Lion King, voicing Sarabi, Simba’s mom.

As previously announced, Donald Glover is playing Simba and James Earl Jones will reprise his role as Mufasa.

Even if those Beyoncé rumors don’t pan out, this is one heck of a cast!
