Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Expels Bill Cosby and Roman Polanski

Bill Cosby and Roman Polanski have been kicked out of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the Oscars org announced Thursday.

The academy’s board of governors voted to expel the pair “in accordance with the organization’s Standards of Conduct,” it said in a statement.

“The Board continues to encourage ethical standards that require members to uphold the Academy’s values of respect for human dignity,” the statement reads.
