Former Florida Gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum and his wife, R. Jai Gillum, have reportedly separated after last week’s incident in which he was found in a hotel room with a male escort overdosing on crystal meth and another man.
According to reports, two people on social media claiming to know Andrew’s wife are the source of the separation news.
At the time of the incident, Andrew released a statement saying he was going to rehab for alcohol abuse and planned to spend more time with this family.
“I now need to firmly focus on myself and my family,” Andrew said. “I will be stepping down from all public facing roles for the foreseeable future.”
That statement came before photos of the hotel room where Andrew as found hit the internet — including one of what appears to be Andrew passed out naked on the floor.
Considering what those photos depicted, we wouldn’t be surprised of Andrew’s wife needed some space.
