Five-time Grammy award-winning group TLC returned to the stage for the MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2013 to accept the show’s prestigious “Legend Award.”
T-Boz and Chilli were welcomed by countless fans and a frenzy of media as they posed on the red carpet wearing ensembles designed by Alpana Neeraj. The commemorative event was a family affair with T-Boz’s daughter Chase and Chilli’s son Tron in attendance to watch their moms be honored.
“We would just like to thank all of our fans and anybody who has had a hand in our career. We’ve had 20 years and we are still going,” said T-Boz. The MTV Japan “Legend Award” was an honor only given to Michael Jackson making TLC the first artists to receive the award in 7 years. “Lisa “Left-Eye” Lopes is our sister, she lives on forever in this group TLC,” said Chilli as the group accepted their award.
