Watch: Portland Food Truck Owner Calls Black Woman the N-Word, Throws Gatorade Bottle at Her Because She Tried to Pay With Quarters [Video]

An Oregon food cart employee got violent when a Black woman attempted to pay for her food with loose change.

via NYDN:

The disturbing footage shows alleged victim Carlotta Washington being called the N-word after she asked the truck’s owner, Islam Elmasry, to pay in quarters.

Elmasry then tells Washington to “get the f–k away” from the Portland halal cart, before throwing a Gatorade bottle at her.

Washington then says Elmasry sprayed her with Sriracha chili sauce, although that part of the altercation does not appear in the video.

“It was in my eyes and all on my skin. It was burning terribly,” Washington says.

Washington then asks eyewitnesses to call the police.

Elmasry was booked into Multnomah County jail for misdemeanor harassment and assault.

Last we checked, quarters, nickels, dimes, and even pennies are still valid forms of U.S. currency. Not only did his racism cost him a potential sale, but he also lost a $2 bottle of Gatorade. That’s bad business!
