Queen Latifah opens up about her family tragedy and gives thanks to Patti LaBelle for her support on Thursday’s episode of The Queen Latifah Show.

During the chat, Patti praises Fantasia and Christina Aguilera as “people you should watch”.

Queen Latifah: What performers today inspire you?

Patti: I think Fantasia is awesome. She’s a mini-me. … She is one of the people that you should watch. Of course Christina Aguilera. Of course…there aren’t many. There are a lot of people who call themselves whatever, but we know best.

There was definitely some shade there. Patti also performed “If Only You Knew”.
