Now here’s some reboot news we’re here for!
Disney’s ‘The Proud Family’ is reportedly returning with brand-new episodes to air on the upcoming Disney+ streaming service.
Tommy Davidson, who voiced Oscar Proud in the 2000s Disney Channel animated series, revealed the news.
“I forgot to tell you that, The Proud Family is coming back. Proud Family’s coming back,” Davidson, who voiced Proud family patriarch Oscar, told Where Is the Buzz at the carpet premiere of 47 Meters Down: Uncaged. “It’s on one of Disney’s streaming [services]. Yeah, Proud Family’s coming back. They told me not to tell you. New episodes.”
We’re hoping the original cast returns — Kyla Pratt, Paula Jai Parker, Soleil Moon Frye — pretty much everyone except Orlando Brown. We also need Solange + Destiny’s Child to give us a revamped version of the theme song featuring Blue Ivy Carter.
