Golfer Tiger Woods has been injured in a serious car crash near Los Angeles.
The accident happened at 7:12 a.m. on Tuesday when rescue workers were called for a single vehicle, roll-over accident in Ranchos Palos Verdes, a city in Los Angeles County. How the crash happened was not immediately clear.
“The vehicle sustained major damage,” the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement. “Mr. Woods was extricated from the wreck with the ‘jaws of life’ by Los Angeles County firefighters and paramedics, then transported to a local hospital by ambulance for his injuries.”
