Is a Fresh Prince reboot in the works? According to TVLine, the answer is yes.
The site exclusively reported moments ago that original Fresh Prince star Will Smith’s production shingle Overbrook Entertainment is in the very early stages of developing the series.
A Fresh Prince reboot would join the wave of recently announced show revivals, including Fuller House (a Full House continuation), The X-files and Prison Break.
According to TVLine, the reboot will put “a new spin on the fish-out-of-water tale while maintaining the spirit of the original series.”
Once the pitch is finalized, Overbrook will begin the process of shopping the series around.
If picked up, Jada Pinkett Smith will also serve as an executive producer.
