Miya Ponsetto is currently wanted for assaulting and accusing and a Black teen of stealing her phone in an NYC hotel, but this isn’t the first time she’s been in trouble with the law — nor is it the first time she’s caused problems at a hotel.
According to reports, Miya was arrested back in February following an incident at the Peninsula hotel in Beverly Hills.
Miya, along with her mother, were asked to leave by Peninsula hotel staff. They refused, someone at the hotel called the police because they believed Miya and her mom were drunk and causing a nuisance, and the police showed up.
When the police arrived, they tried to get the women to leave — and that’s when her mother, Nicole, allegedly pushed and kicked a police officer. Both women were arrested. Nicole was charged with battery and Miya was charged for being drunk in public.
Their court date is set for later this month.
Both Miya and her mother were charged on May 27, 2020 and the VERY next day Miya was arrested for drunk driving. She pled no contest and was sentenced to 3 years probation, 30 hours of community service and she must take a 9-month alcohol/drug counseling program.
Police are searching for Miya currently, and she’s believed to be in Southern California.
