Sheree Whitfield opens up her financial status in the latest issue of In Touch magazine.

She has returned to Bravo’s ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ for season 8 as a ‘friend’ of the housewives and has been accused for years of being unable to pay for the renovations on the Chateau Sheree mansion she started five years ago.

“The whole world pretty much hit a crisis; I don’t think I was the only one who hit a financial wall,” Sheree told In Touch magazine.  “But I’m still living the same lifestyle, fortunately,” she adds. “I don’t spend recklessly. Trust me: If I’m buying X, Y and Z, I can afford it!”

About a week ago, it was revealed that Sheree was hit with a lawsuit from an Atlanta contractor claiming she owes $23,000 for unpaid work.

Sheree insists she rejoined the show not for the money, but because the time was right. She also says she came back to the show because she missed the ‘camaraderie’ with the other women.

Whatever the reason may be, get that check Sheree!
