Shaneka Monique Torres popped off (literally) at a McDonalds after the fast-food restaurant forgot to put bacon on her cheeseburger.
She faces up to seven years in prison.

The dust-up occurred about 3 a.m. Feb. 10, 2014 at the McDonald’s on 28th Street near Madison Avenue SE, although seeds of discord were planted several hours earlier. That’s when Torres and a friend stopped by the drive through for bacon cheeseburgers, but restaurant workers messed up the order. They spoke with the manager, who offered a complimentary bacon burger on their next visit.
When they returned later that night, they placed the same order and got the same result – a burger without bacon. Torres lashed out at a worker before yanking out the handgun and firing one round. The bullet shattered the driver’s side window of the Chevy Tahoe before sailing through the restaurant.
Torres was arrested about 30 minutes later at her home about a mile from the restaurant.
The story garnered international attention due to the bizarre circumstances. Defense attorney John Beason said the shooting was an accident and had nothing to do with having her burger delivered without bacon. That assertion contradicted what witnesses said happened.
Torres, 30, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, discharging a firearm into a building and felony use of a firearm, the latter of which carries a mandatory two-year term.
Her April 21 sentencing comes the same day Torres will appear in Grand Rapids District Court to explain why she missed a work crew assignment tied to her conviction of driving on a suspended or revoked license.
