Say What Now? Todd Bridges Criticizes Robin Williams’ Suicide as ‘Selfish’

While the world is collectively mourning the loss of the great Robin Williams, Todd Bridges found it appropriate to share his thoughts on suicide and condemn the passing of Robin Willimas as a ‘very selfish act’.

He tweeted (and later deleted):

After posting a series of tweets related to the above and catching tons of online backlash, he issued an apology.

He added,

“‘My best friend committed suicide a few months ago, and I was devastated to discover that he did not solicit my help. I am sure that my attitude toward Williams’s death was a delayed reaction of my best friend’s death.”
