A Brooklyn teen who once claimed a man tried to rape her in the bathroom of a Brooklyn playground has admitted to making it up.

The 17-year-old confessed to police she made up the story because she was late coming home and knew her parents would be upset.

The teen told her parents and then police that a man with a chipped tooth followed her into a bathroom at the Carver Playground near Marion St. and Ralph Ave. in Bedford-Stuyvesant about 2 p.m. Monday.

But under further questioning by police, the girl admitted that she had been with her boyfriend at his apartment, sources said.

She confessed that she and her boyfriend had gotten into an argument, sources said. She pushed him and he punched her in the right eye, she told cops, according to sources.

She made up the attempted rape story to explain the bruise on her face, sources said.

She didn’t even go to the park that day. But the girl went so far as to run into a deli near the park and cry, “Please call my mom! Someone tried to rape me in the bathroom of the park,” a clerk at the deli told the Daily News Tuesday.

First, this young lady’s parents need to press charges against her boyfriend. Second, she probably needs some counseling.
