BBC News Anchor Dan Walker thought he was going out to host round-up of Olympics action — but unfortunately he was interrupted by some ‘other’ action on the beach behind him.
A couple was caught having sex during the live broadcast.
via NY Daily News:
“For those asking what’s going on in the background on social media, we’re not going to zoom in but rest assured, it’s not that,” he frantically explains in a short clip posted to social media. “It’s just a hug.”
Viewers can then see Walker’s eyes light up as he thinks of another terrible explanation.
“They’re reading a book,” he says quickly. “Apparently they’re reading a book. They’re reading a book in a strange pose, OK?”
He continues on, a cheeky grin on his face: “It’s merely a book, we’ll find out what the book is maybe a little later on. We’re not going any closer to that.”
The anchor then signs off, trying to keep a giggle to himself, and sends viewers over to men’s basketball.
Walker retweeted the clip, enjoying the humor in his somewhat frantic broadcast.
“It’s live TV,” he tweeted with a tearful, laughing emoji. “Anything can happen!”
