via Complex:
25-year-old Cadesha Bishop was arrested on May 6, and charged with the murder of 74-year-old Serge Fournier. Bishop was caught on video pushing Fournier off of the bus as he was exiting on March 21. Fournier landed on his face on the sidewalk but refused immediate medical attention. Bishop had already left the scene according to Las Vegas police.
Fournier and Bishop were arguing right before he tried to get off the bus. Witnesses said that Bishop argued with multiple people on the bus, turning her attention to Fournier when he asked her to be nice. The fall had lingering complications and Fournier checked himself into a hospital that evening. He died on April 23.
Fournier’s neighbor said that he had crushed his hip and that the injury caused him so much pain that he wouldn’t eat.
“He wasn’t able to eat,” Jeffrey Bingham told KLAS-TV. “He was in a lot of pain, crushed hip.”
Bingham added that he was with Fournier when he died.
“I put my hand up to his face and I said, ‘We got you covered,'” Bingham said. “And then he kinda went..he said… ‘God bless you,’ and that was the last thing he said to me.”
Police released video of the incident in an attempt to identify Bishop. A warrant for her arrest was issued on May 6 and she was arrested the same day. Bishop is being held on $100,000 bail at the Clark County Detention Center.
