A Florida man and his three sons were indicted for selling more than $1 million of industrial bleach as a “Miracle Mineral Solution” to cure COVID-19.

The Department of Justice released a statement Friday announcing that a grand jury indictment charges that 62-year-old Mark Grenon and his three sons, Jonathan Grenon, 34, Jordan Grenon, 26, and Joseph Grenon, 32, also promoted their concoction as a cure for cancer Alzheimer’s, diabetes and herpes.
“MMS” is not approved by the FDA, which had warned consumers the product could cause serious side-effects, including severe vomiting and life-threateningly low blood pressure.
The DOJ says the Grenons sold their miracle cure under the “guise of Genesis II Church of Health and Healing (’Genesis’), an entity they are accused of creating to avoid government regulation of MMS and shield themselves from prosecution.”
They were also charged with contempt after being arrested on similar charges filed my Miami federal prosecutors last summer.
According to the Justice Department, “The Grenons also allegedly threatened the federal judge presiding over the civil case, and threatened that, should the government attempt to enforce the court orders halting their distribution of MMS, the Grenons would ‘pick up guns’ and instigate ‘a Waco.’”
That was in reference to a 1993 clash between federal agents and members of the Branch Davidian religious sect in Waco, Texas, that left dead 76 civilians and four agents.
According to the DOJ, the Grenons sold “tens of thousands” of bottles of MMS that they produced in a shed in Jonathan Grenon’s Bradenton, Fla., backyard. Jonathan and Jordan Grenon have been detained since their arrest and will be arraigned Monday morning. Mark and Joseph Grenon are in Colombia, awaiting extradition.
The indictment charges all four men with conspiracy to commit fraud and two counts of criminal contempt. If convicted, the quartet could face life in prison.
While they’re at it, the need to audit those ‘church’ finances and see what other crimes they find. We’re willing to bet there are more.
