Garcelle Beauvais joined ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ this year — making her the franchise’s first Black housewife in 10 seasons.
The folks over at Bravo decided to give Garcelle and the rest of the Beverly Hills ladies big slices of watermelon as part of a new promo — and it’s definitely not a good look.

The post is to promote Harry Styles’ new single “Watermelon Sugar,” but clearly no one in the RHOBH marketing department considered that having the first Black Housewife of Beverly Hills offer up a slice of watermelon isn’t the best idea.
Brands — take note. This is why you diversify your staff. If there were at least ONE Black person in the room this entire fiasco wouldn’t have happened.
