Ashanti was scheduled to perform at Stony Brook University’s ‘Back to the Brook’ concert, but after only selling 24 tickets to a population of 2500 students the school was forced to cancel the event.
Teyana Taylor was originally scheduled to headline the show, but she pulled out at the last minute due to ‘unforeseen circumstances.’
The school issued a statement explaining the reason for the show cancelation and was sure to include the number of tickets Ashanti sold (or didn’t sell).
