A 9-year-old is currently facing attempted murder charges for stabbing his younger sister inside their Florida home.
At the time, their mother stepped outside her home to pick up the mail. She returned to find her 9-year-old son repeatedly stabbing his 5-year-old sister with a kitchen knife while saying, “die, die.”

The disturbing incident in the central Florida city of Ocala resulted in a rare felony charge against a child, who was arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by local news station WOFL.
The victim was flown to a hospital with multiple stab wounds. She was reportedly conscious and talking when she arrived, but her exact condition was unclear Tuesday.
The Ocala Police Department said in a Facebook post Monday that its major crimes detectives were investigating a stabbing “involving juveniles” at an apartment complex, but the agency has not shared an update on the case.
The boy told police he wanted to kill his sister and that the “thought had entered his head two days earlier,” according to the Fox affiliate.
He appeared in court Tuesday and was ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation, the station reported.
