So Sad: Journalist, TV Writer Jas Waters’ Cause of Death Revealed

Journalist and TV writer Jas Waters’ cause of death has been revealed.

The 39-year-old, who worked on shows such as This Is Us and Kidding, died by hanging and the manner of death was ruled as a suicide according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s office.

News of Jas’ passing first broke on Wednesday.

“The entire #ThisIsUs family was devastated to learn of Jas Waters passing,” the show’s writers said in a statement on Twitter Wednesday. “In our time together, Jas left her mark on us and ALL over the show. She was a brilliant storyteller and a force of nature. We send our deepest sympathies to her loved ones. She was one of us. RIP @JasFly.”
