So Sad: Don Lemon’s Sister Passes Away in an Accidental Drowning

CNN news anchor Don Lemon is mourning the loss of his older sister who passed away on Wednesday.

She was 58.

via Page Six:

“Thanks everyone for your words of sympathy. Please keep my family in your prayers,” the CNN host tweeted on Thursday. “Leisa was my oldest sister & partner in crime growing up. Always had my back. #RIPbigSis.”

According to the New Orleans Times-Picayune, L’Tanya “Leisa” Lemon Grimes drowned after falling into a neighborhood pond while fishing in Livingston Parish, La. Her death appeared to be accidental.

Lemon, who according to social media is currently in New Orleans, will not host “CNN Tonight” on Thursday.
