Yesterday we showed you a video of Rihanna hitting a fan in the face with her microphone. We weren’t sure what exactly prompted the incident or if that’s what actually happened, but the ever outspoken Rihanna cleared it all up for us.

She responded to a fan on Instagram:

Word to the wise: if you ever grab Rihanna, let Rihanna go.
