Ray Rice could possibly make a return to the NFL after winning his appeal and having his indefinite suspension from the league overturned.
Ray filed the appeal to overturn the indefinite suspension after video footage surfaced of him punching his then-fiancée and knocking her out cold. The decision follows a two-day appeal hearing and hours of testimony which took place earlier this month.

The basis of the running back’s argument, as NFL Media’s Judy Battista reported in the hearing’s wake, was that the former Ravens player was subjected to double jeopardy when the league indefinitely suspended him. Rice was originally banned for two games after video footage surfaced of him punching his then-fiancée in Atlantic City.
Rice believes that the NFL received no new information when the video became public — and that Commissioner Roger Goodell knew all the details at the time of the original decision.
Ray Rice has also has filed a grievance against the Ravens for wrongful termination of his contract. Winning this appeal only makes his case that much stronger.
