Prosecutors are urging the Kenosha County Court to issue a warrant for Kyle Rittenhouse’s arrest and hike his bond by $200,000 after they allege the 18-year-old violated his bond agreement by not informing the court when he moved from his listed home address.

Prosecutors are seeking to increase Kyle Rittenhouse’s bond after he allegedly violated the terms of his release, TMZ reported.
According to investigation by the Kenosha Police Department, since mid-December, the teen has been living at an address other than the one that has been listed with the court, and has long surpassed the 48 hours he had to update the information — which is a violation of his bond. With Rittenhouse’s old address, prosecutors mentioned, the court is unable to correctly monitor his locations.
The State of Wisconsin believes the Kenosha gunman is not compliant with bond conditions because the money didn’t come from him or his family, but a “dubious Internet fundraising campaign.” They are requesting that Rittenhouse’s bond be increased by $200,000 so he’d be incentivized to comply with the terms.
Rittenhouse was initially arrested for the fatal shootings of two men during a Jacob Blake protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin — a move he and his lawyers maintain was an act of self-defense. He was released on $2 million bond, but his behavior since then has been questioned by prosecutors in the case.
The 18-year- old, for example, was at a local bar with his mother earlier this month when he was spotted drinking beer and making white supremacists hand gestures. Prosecutors say he was also serenaded with a song that has become the anthem of the Proud Boys.
A Wisconsin judge modified Rittenhouse’s bail conditions of as a result of his actions. According to the new terms, the gunman “shall not knowingly have conduct with any person or group of persons known to harm, threaten, harass or menace others on the basis of their race, beliefs on the subject of religion, color, national origin, or gender.” He is also prohibited Rittenhouse from possessing firearms and consuming alcohol.
Rittenhouse was seen out drinking underage, he didn’t inform the court that he moved, yet he’s not in jail and they only want to increase his bond. Sounds about white.
