Nick Cannon’s daytime talk show was originally planned to premiere Oct. 5, but amid everything he’s going through the show has been shut down and the premiere has been pushed to next year.

“We are standing by Nick in our hope that by fall 2021 he will be able to use his extraordinary talent and platform to entertain, enlighten & unite his audience on the Nick Cannon talk show,” the companies behind the show, Lionsgate and its division Debmar-Mercury, said in a statement, in which they condemned anti-Semitism and racism. The Nick Cannon Talk Show will not debut this year. After conversations with Nick, we do believe that his public comments don’t reflect his true feelings and his apology is heartfelt & sincere. We want to continue the healing process as he meets with leaders of the Jewish community and engages in a dialogue with our distribution partners to hear their views. We are standing by Nick in our hope that by fall 2021 he will be able to use his extraordinary talent and platform to entertain, enlighten & unite his audience on the Nick Cannon talk show.

Nick Cannon had been cleared more than 90% of the U.S. Cannon’s production company, Ncredible Entertainment, and Debmar-Mercury co-produce the talker, which is featuring his take on the latest in trending pop culture stories and celebrity interviews.
Earlier this week, Cannon also kept his job as host and producer of Fox’s hit reality series The Masked Singer after issuing a lengthy apology for his controversial comments. ViacomCBS was the first to take action, cutting ties with Cannon, the creative force behind the long-running MTV/VH1 sketch comedy Wild ‘n Out.
Well…at least it wasn’t cancelled.
