Ne-Yo & Wife Crystal Smith Are Expecting Their Second Child

Ne-Yo announced Wednesday that wife Crystal Smith is pregnant with the couple’s second child.

“We didn’t plan for you but you are God’s plan and I thank you for choosing us to be your parents!” Crystal wrote on Instagram.

“Impatiently awaiting our newest addition WE’RE PREGNANT!!! @neyo (I think he did it on purpose ) joking! LOL.”

The happy couple, who were married in February 2016, welcomed son Shaffer Chimere that March.

Ne-Yo has two other children with ex-fiancée Monyetta Shaw: daughter Madilyn Grace and son Mason Evan.

In her book “Bigger Than Me,” released last year, Shaw said that she got her tubes tied after Madilyn’s birth, and Ne-Yo agreed to get a vasectomy “to show our mutual commitment to the relationship.”

Two months before their planned 2013 wedding, he broke off the engagement and told Shaw he didn’t want to be monogamous.

Three years later, Ne-Yo — who hadn’t gotten the vasectomy — welcomed his third child.

Shaw, however, doesn’t seem to hold any hard feelings.

“So glad that I don’t have to hold this secret from my M’s anymore!!” she wrote on Instagram.

“They’re excited about their new sibling!!! Congratulations @neyo & @itscrystalsmith Babies are such a blessing!!!!”

So — Ne-Yo had his ex’s tubes tied in the name of ‘commitment’ and backed out of his vasectomy only to have two kids with another woman? Interesting.
