Looks like Morris may be joining Taraji and Terrence over at FOX.

Given the success of Scandal, How to Get Away with Murder, black-ish and now the record-breaking Empire, it’s safe to say that black actors are now in demand in the world of television.

Morris Chestnut has been tapped as the lead in an untitled Todd Harthan drama pilot for FOX network.

Described as a procedural, Morris will play Dr. Beaumont Rosewood Jr., a gifted pathologist who can read living and dead bodies like a book.

Sounds interesting!

We’re hoping the FOX drama gets picked up and makes it to our television screens this fall or next spring.

Congratulations, Morris!
