When Joe Biden signed off on the $1.9 trillion stimulus relief package Thursday (March 11), Twitter crowned President Joe Biden as Moneybagg Joe with the move, as memes and Photoshops flooded timelines. With Moneybagg Joe trending, Moneybagg Yo got wind of what was going on with people tagging him in their jokes.

Moneybagg Yo has responded to the Moneybagg Joe tweets that emerged on the social media app shortly after President Biden signed the $1.9 trillion Covid relief package.
“National News Manne WTF Shit Done Got Outta Hand,” wrote the Memphis-bred rapper on an Instagram post featuring MSNBC’s Ari Melber’s commentary.
Memes of Moneybagg Joe trended on Twitter and also surfaced on Instagram. Some of the photoshopped images placed a du-rag and several gaudy chains on President Biden. Others depicted the president sagging his pants, wearing baseball caps, and Newport sweatsuits.
There are pictures of Biden with cornrows, and GIFs where Biden’s face replaces a rapper. One tweet even changes Moneybagg Yo’s “Said Sum” lyrics. “I thought a twice impeached president who couldn’t get re-elected SAID SUM,” one tweeter wrote. The artistry appears to be in approval of the Covid relief bill being signed into law, and the forthcoming $1,400 stimulus checks.
Moneybagg Yo isn’t the most political rapper. But in January, he did perform at a rally for Democratic Senators Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock in Georgia. Yo also donated $10,000 for hand sanitizer and masks to Shelby County Schools in Memphis last year.
Last month, the rapper had to apologize when he tweeted “Not gon lie, I made a couple Ms in the pandemic ion want it to end.” “I feel like the pandemic help a lot of people,” he continued.
Upset fans thought Moneybagg Yo’s tweets were insensitive since nearly 22 million people have lost their jobs during the pandemic, according to the Department of Labor.
This isn’t the first time President Biden has received the meme treatment. Biden also became a meme during his stint as vice-president. With three years left in his term, it’s likely the president will be the subject of many more memes and gifs. But for now, Moneybagg Joe is an apt nickname.
They really let the memes fly. Who got their stimmy already.
