A North Texas man believed to be the killer of Dallas rapper Mo3 has been indicted on murder charges.

According to The Dallas Morning News, grand jurors indicted 23-year-old Kewon Dontrell White for the fatal shooting of the “Everybody” emcee, whose real name is Melvin A. Noble. As REVOLT previously reported, Mo3 was fatally gunned down last November while driving on Interstate 35E. His car reportedly crashed into a median during the shooting and he tried to flee the scene on foot.

Images provided by the Dallas Police Department showed the gunman chasing after Mo3 while wearing a dark-colored ski mask.

The Shottaz Reloaded rapper was struck by several bullets and rushed to a nearby a hospital where he passed away. Police say the gunman then got back into his car and left the scene. An innocent bystander was also shot during the incident, but only sustained non-life-threatening injuries. At that time, White was free on bond for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and evading arrest charges.

Three weeks after the shooting, White was arrested and held in federal custody on a felony charge of possessing a firearm in violation of a previous felony conviction after a witness contacted police about the shooting. Next month, he is scheduled to stand trial in federal court and faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted. If he is found guilty of murder, he faces life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Mo3 was reportedly signed to Boosie’s Bad Azz Music label. The two most recently dropped a joint project together titled Badazz MO3. Last year, the Dallas native spoke to Flaunt Magazine about how they met.

“Three years ago, in a mall,” he said. “He’s doing a signing or walkthrough at a shoe store. I had pulled up, we chopped it up. He put me on his show that night. After that, he flew me to his house. We made two songs for my album. I had a mixtape called 4 Indictments with Gangsta Grillz and DJ Drama. It’s been love ever since.”

Hopefully the family gets justice.
